Qatar opens three new lounges at its hub

At the airport of Doha, the hours spent waiting for flights are now more pleasant for passengers in transit thanks for Qatar’s new Platinum, Gold and Silver lounges.
The airline’s CEO, Akbar Al Baker, was delighted to announce the opening of these lounges at Hamad International Airport, which are accessible to One World alliance members registered in the frequent flyer programme.
In this area, you can experience true modernity and elegance, or simply relax or socialise with family or friends. As a matter, Qatar Airways Platinum and Gold Privilege Club members and Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members are allowed to invite a guest through the complimentary plus-one free programme.
The Platinum Lounge is located in HIA’s A aisle, and it accommodates up to 140 passengers who are Qatar Airways Platinum members and Oneworld Emerald cardholders. Here you can find a prayer room, bar, restaurant and showers. You can have dinner with international cuisine and a wide selection of drinks. Free wifi is available.
The Gold Lounge is too located in HIA’S A aisle, and it accommodates up to 85 passengers who are Qatar Airways Gold and Oneworld Sapphire cardholders. It was recently opened, and it offers buffet dining, showers and free wifi.
The Silver Lounge is located in HIA’s B aisle, and it accommodates up to 195 passengers who are members of the Qatar Airways Silver programme. It offers meeting rooms, family area, bar and luggage storage.
These lounges are to be added to Al Safwa First Lounge accessible only for passengers travelling first class with Qatar and not with other OneWorld carriers.
At the end there is the beautiful Al Mourjan Business Lounge, reserved for passengers flying business class with Qatar and with a fare that includes lounge access.
