Big comfort, small jet: Etihad’s new A321LR

Etihad has unveiled the cabin configuration of its new Airbus A321LR, proving that even a single-aisle aircraft can deliver a truly premium experience.
The standout feature? Two exclusive first class suites, inspired by JetBlue’s Mint Studio concept, offering more space, a 20” IFE screen, and ultimate comfort.
Also onboard: 14 lie-flat business class seats with direct aisle access, plus an enhanced Economy cabin. Superfast WiFi ensures passengers stay connected, just like on widebodies.
As CEO Antonoaldo Neves clearly stated: “We’ve adapted our renowned luxury standards to a single-aisle aircraft.” The A321LR will enter service by the end of the year as part of the airline’s wider expansion strategy.
The new first class suite on Etihad’s A321LR is a private, enclosed space with a sliding door, fully flat bed, elevated dining service, and bespoke design touches. It’s the first time Etihad brings a widebody-style first class product to a narrowbody jet!
Right behind are 14 business class seats in a 1-1 configuration, each with direct aisle access.
Both premium cabins include wireless charging, bluetooth headphone pairing, and 78-inch-long beds (nearly 2 meters).
And economy class doesn’t fall short either:
144 seats, each 18.3 inches wide – among the most spacious in the segment, generous recline,
13.3” touchscreen IFE with USB port at every seat.
All this is backed by ultrafast WiFi (up to 1 Gbps), thanks to Etihad’s partnership with Viasat.
Once again, Etihad shows that luxury and connectivity aren’t defined by aircraft size—but by a clear vision.
