Discover Airlines’ New “Ocean Blue” Cabin
Added on Thu February 26th, 2026
Discover Airlines, the Lufthansa Group leisure carrier, is equipping its long-haul Airbus A330-300 aircraft with a completely redesigned cabin. The goal of this renewal is to create a top-quality customer experience across all three travel classes.
The first aircraft equipped with the new cabin will enter service in mid-next year, while the rest of the fleet will be gradually retrofitted by mid-2028. Following the refurbishment, each Discover Airlines aircraft will feature 288 seats: 227 in Economy Class, 31 in Premium Economy Class, and 30 in Business Class.
The new cabin is called “Ocean Blue.” As the name suggests, it is inspired by the ocean: deep blue tones, clean shapes, selected color accents, and refined details, along with lighting that uses different colors to enhance passenger well-being.
The new cabin offers improvements across all classes:
- Economy Class: more legroom, a more comfortable recline, a 6-way adjustable headrest, and increased storage space.
- Premium Economy Class: an innovative hard-shell seat design that can be adjusted without disturbing other passengers, discreet privacy screens, generous recline, an integrated leg rest, and built-in reading lights.
- Business Class: direct aisle access from every seat, adjustable privacy dividers, and seats that convert into a fully flat bed approximately two meters long.
- Business Class Suite: two new front-row suites featuring sliding doors, 32-inch screens, generous legroom, more personal space and storage options, and an enhanced culinary offering.
