Visa in three minutes for Arabia
Added on Wed April 12th, 2023
Visiting Saudi Arabia will now be easier thanks to an initiative called ‘Your ticket Your visa’. The idea belongs to Saudia Air, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, which now allows travellers in transit through all the Kingdom’s international airports to stay in the country for up to 96 hours, visit it and get Umrah.
The initiative was born by Saudia CEO Ibrahim Koshy with the intention of bringing more travellers to the country and achieve the strategic goal of 100 million visits by 2030. The geographical location of Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport is known to be a bridge between East and West, and this initiative will encourage passengers to take a fast tour of the country’s pilgrimage sites, picturesque desert landscapes and modern, well-connected cities.
The Saudia ticket visa was introduced as part of the ‘Guests of God’ service programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and will be issued for Hajj, Umrah and tourism purposes only. Digital integration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs facilitates the issue of the transit visa and connects it to the air ticket in just three minutes.
The ‘Your Ticket Your Visa’ service is also part of the many digital services already provided by Saudia’s ever-evolving website to make travel procedures easier and simpler and to give an after-sales service a lift.
Saudi Arabia also has an ambitious plan: to build one of the largest airports in the world. The King Salman International Airport is expected to transform Riyadh into a global logistics hub, stimulating transport, trade and tourism.
